Why can't I see who an issue is assigned to?

The assigned to field of all my Jira tickets is visible for a second while loading, then disappears.  

In order to see who a ticket is assigned to I have to hit the assign button.

There is definitely something going wrong there. Do you have any add-ons or customization that is possibly causing this behavior?

You might also want to check the announcement banner to see if there is any javascript added in there!

So it was some kind of cache issue with my chrome browser. I cleared my cache, history, and cookies and that solved the issue.
