We are using Jira as our user directory. Somehow I got myself into a state where I see a user in bitbucket coming from my jira server, but that username no longer exists. I may have gotten into this state by editing that old username to something new. Is it now just an orphan? It doesn't seem to be eating up my license but I would like to get rid of it.

Are you seeing this under Administration > Users? Also, do you see the new name you changed the old one to?
It would be helpful to have a screenshot of what you're seeing and then we can go from there.

This is interesting. I just went back in and I don't see that issue anymore. I think at this point we can consider this "solved". I will reply to this if I have similar issues as I set up other users.
