Why aren't my Epics displayed on my roadmap after a CSV upload?

Russ Ballenger February 25, 2020

I recently imported a CSV from another project and attempted to aline those items with existing items in another projects roadmap.

When reviewing I found some items pre-populated in my roadmap. After placing those I began searching for other Epics but couldn't find them via search.

Based on documentation I've read, epics should always appear unless the board's query excludes that issue type. I checked and try query was fine

I've even gone as far as to:

1. simplify my JQL so it pulls in ALL issue types with no status

2. included All Statuses in my JQL

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Finally figured out the problem! When importing issues via CSV from a previous project values for each were retained pre-populating my roadmap (some appearing far off in my timeline). Even though I placed those in my line off site I failed to scan the entire roadmap.

When importing I'd suggest entering your roadmap tool and clearing the "Epics/Items without Themes" area before beginning. This will ensure all is available when searching.
