Why are labels unstyled on Kanban boards?

AM February 10, 2016

We are using the hosted JIRA application and use labels for triaging issues. I configured my Kanban board to show labels on the cards which was great. The problem is that labels are completely unstyled and as such do not draw attention at all, which makes things a bit difficult because we would like to be able to just tell what are the card belongs to.

Is there any other way to deal with this?

Thanks.

When fields are included on cards they are simply receiving for a textual representation of fields, it's not giving "labels" any specific treatment of styling.

Ah I think I confused it with the display of epic labels which are clearly marked with colored backgrounds. Would be nice to have that functionality so as to get a rough view.
