Who initiated re-indexing

Zach Newman October 15, 2012

Recently I was locked out of Jira and recieved the message "Access Contraints - You cannot access Jira at present" due to reindexing. Is there any way to tell if this was user initiated, and if so by whom? I cannot seem to tell if Jira auto reindexes or if it is only manually initiated. Thanks

You can turn on Access logging to see who did what!

Limit it to the absolute minimum you want!

Reindexing can only be intiated by system administrators and usually you would have 2-3 sysadmins, so you can easily find that out by just asking them, I would say proper communication is more important than anything in such cases, one just can not not go and start reindexing without informing anyone, my 2 cents.
