Which Sprint report or velocity chart should be trusted for actual committed vs completed

Gautam Salwan February 11, 2019

The Story Points for on my Sprint report show 108 points ( this includes the total of Completed,Not Completed and Removed issues) for the particular sprint

However the Velocity chart report shows a total commitment of 137 story points

This discrepancy is causing mistrust in the data by my teams and would like to learn

1. Is there a way to fix both to show correctly the same correct data

2. If point one is not possible then guide which as per Jira is dependable of the two Sprint report or Velocity chart for seeing total committed  and total completed story points.

3. Lastly where did the additional story points come from in the Velocity chart

I went through the community page but it pointed that there is a bug in Jira ( however thats old info , i am assuming Jira would have fixed it by now)

Thanks

Gautam
