We would like to be able to keep our templates in configuration management. Are the templates stored in AO? We need an automation that pulls a template out of git and write it somewhere (DB? REST?) to load it into Jira.

Hi Tom!

Yes, it is AO. (Benefits: both template data and view data are stored in the JIRA DB, automatically backed up with JIRA data, etc.)

We need an automation that pulls a template out of git and write it somewhere (DB? REST?) to load it into Jira.

There is no external API to manipulate template at the moment, although it would be fairly trivial to expose one. Nevertheless I have an idea for a simple work around (using Selenium). We can discuss this and also implementing a real REST API through the Midori ticketing system, as it may not be very interesting for the community at Answers.

Hi Tom,

You've tagged your question with Agile Cards add-on key while your actual question seems to refer to JIRA PDF View add-on. I'm a developer of Agile Cards and I just want to make sure you don't need our (Spartez) help.

Have a good day,
