Where do I define a TFS repository connection for TFS4JIRA

Steven Willett April 18, 2013

I am unable to see where I go to configure the TFS4JIRA tool, I looked through the dev's documentation to no avail. Could someone point me in the correct direction?

I am trying to find out where i add the URL used to access the TFS server etc.

Any assitance appreciated.

Jason, thanks for your solutions offered, after further investigation the below would seem to be the cause.

It would appear the TFS4JIRA Add-on is only suited for the self hosted environment and not for the On-Demand soltuion.

This is a bit of a downer for a newcommer such as me to this interface.

Well, our team are looking at alternatives but it would have been be better if the add-on's section stated or better defined 'Self Hosted - Add-on's' against 'On-Demand Add-on's'.

Gripe over.....

thanks for the advice

Greetings,

For starters, I would first check the matrix to ensure your version is fully compatible:

https://confluence.spartez.com/display/TFS4JIRA/Prerequisites

Then, verify you have installed the Synchronization plugin:

https://confluence.spartez.com/display/TFS4JIRA/Installing+TFS4JIRA+Synchronizer

Finally, create a synchronization profile:

https://confluence.spartez.com/display/TFS4JIRA/Creating+a+synchronization+profile

When you create the profile in the last link, that is where you specify the URL, ports, etc.

I hope this response was helpful.
