Whenever our lead Jira Administrator submits a Jira ticket via email, it creates a ticket with the reporter as "SAIT Administrator"

John Phan February 12, 2013

Hi,

As stated in the title, whenver our lead JIRA Administrator submits a ticket via his email account, JIRA automatically submits the ticket with the reporter as "SAIT Administrator". It is also impossible to change the Reporter to his actual name.

We've tried sending other JIRA tickets via email under different accounts and the problem does not happen for them - only our lead administator.

Is this something done by JIRA to identify our SAIT Administrator or a bug in the system? Also, if it is intentional is there a way to change this so that JIRA will submit tickets reported by his name as opposed to what it says now?

I've attatched a picture for visual reference

Thanks.

Hi, JIRA matches this by email address. Confirm that SAIT Administrator does not have the same email address set as your lead JIRA administrator. This is usually the problem. Emails need to be unique per account for this feature to work as indeeded.
