When you update a subtask workflow will it update all the existing subtasks like the other issue types?

I updated a subtask workflow expecting it to retroactively update all the existing subtasks with the new workflow but it appears its only applying the new workflow to the newly created tickets.

Is this just how it is with subtasks or did I incorrectly apply this new workflow to the project?

Thanks guys! Any help or knowledge on the subject is appreciated.

That's not how it should work. Did you go through a workflow migration step? It should change the workflow for extsiting subtasks too!

To resolve this I had to create a copy of the original workflow and then migrate the project to the copy for the updated subtask workflow to be applied. Changing the subtask workflow while active does not apply the changes.
