When linking JIRA Service Desk from an external site - JIRA Destination page greyed out

We had placed a link from our SharePoint 2013 site to JIRA Service Desk.  We are noticing that users who have a Chrome browser is able to get to the login page and destination request form page but for Microsoft Edge users, they are getting a greyed out page.  

 

We believe that it may be due to the SharePoint 2013 Site page is opened in IE compatibility mode and not the native Edge mode that is supported by JIRA Service Desk.  We were wondering if there was any workarounds or possible solutions for this issue.
