What is the difference between JIRA "Data Center" and "Server"?
I know the difference about machines and prices but;
If i have a server jira in one machine and a confluence in another machine. I have a balanceator (apache) over these.
Do I need a licence server or I need a licence datacenter?
Regards
JIRA Server is a single standalone machine which can not be clustered or load-balanced (mathematically you can't load-balance one machine).
JIRA Data Centre is built for high-availability and load-balancing - it allows you to run several JIRA instances with the same data.
Confluence Server and Data Centre are the same idea - Confluence Server is one machine doing all the work, Data Centre is more than one.
With your set up, you need a JIRA Server licence and a Confluence server licence. You're not load-balancing or clustering, so data-centre isn't needed.

At what user lever is it recommended to use Confluence Data Center?
We already have JIRA Data Center running 2k users.
