Hello World!

Guys, we are aiming to prepare some training offering for Insight for JIRA. The training would be split into Basics/Advanced, but I wonder what functionalities and topics would be most interesting for You:

1. Designing Schemas and Object Types
2. Mapping and cross-referencing Objects
3. Imports and synchronising add-ons (SCCM, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
4. JIRA Insight Custom Fields setup
5. JIRA Workflows Insight Conditions/Validators/Postfunctions
6. Insight Discovery
7. Insight Automations
8. IQL/IQL in JQL

Plus what use cases are worth of sharing during training:

A. IT Assets/CMDB
B. HR Assets/Org Structures
C. Field Support (tech, commodity services etc.)
D. Marketing
E. Some other business: Car Fleet Management, Radio/TV broadcasting assets etc.

Please note points above in answers, as well as any free comments.

Przemek,

I think the most valuable points are 1,2,4,5,7,8 and use case A is most common i think.

Insight discovery only applies to people who purchase that, so i wouldn't include it in the general trainings.

Same for the add-ons like SCCM.

I would cover the import CSV and import LDAP part as these are used in most insight implementations.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Laurens

I'm currently stuck on working imports (CSV, SCCM, Insight Discovery) to feed into my current schema hierarchy.

Real-world examples would be nice and I know IQL will help me do this better, but need more training on that.

Thanks.

I would like to see some training videos with regards to how to connect to Insight using the API.
Examples of how to perform CRUD actions on objects.
