Hello,
recently we have users who stopped seeing some projects in the list in Project Picker.
We have some projects with more restricted issue permissions, until last week everything worked OK, suddenly users who are not admin on those projects, don't see them in the selection.
Surprisingly this does not seem to be governed by Browse Projects permission - these users have it, they can see impacted projects and issues in those projects.
Following are the permissions available to admins only on the impacted projects not visible within the project picker field, I assume some of these must be at fault (users have those on projects they still see), though it is quite strange:
Project permissions are identical both for projects that are and are not visible in the list.
Or am I missing something else?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Michal
So, I went ahead and tested the individual permissions - it's using "Create Issues" permission. Users who don't have create issues permission for a specific project are not able to see that project in Project Picker type field.
Strangely enough I also found this note on the Project Picker field type - it just makes me more puzzled why we are missing some projects for some people ...

Hi @Michal Vit
I don't now the option Project Picker in Jira ootb, is this a custom field or a 3rd party app?
Then you might need to look at the config in the custom field or 3rd party app.

This is Jira native - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/custom-fields-types-in-company-managed-projects/, see advanced custom field types.

Hi @Michal Vit
My mistake then.
What are the differences in the permission scheme on these 2 projects and the permission scheme(s) used on the other projects.
