What more do I get when I create a project link in JIRA?

Hi,

I have setup an application link between my two JIRA instances which makes it possible to link issues between the instances. This works great!

But I have also found in the documentation something called Project Link which can be setup to link one project in instance A with another project in instance B.

What is the benefit in doing this? I haven't found any new functionality added in my JIRA instances. I cannot find anything in the documentation either that describes what this link will add.

Could someone please explain this to me? Or, point out the documentation describing this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Svante,

Some more information can be found here :

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/APPLINKS/Creating+Links+Between+Projects

But there is nothing really extra special you can do with the project links (except for the activity stream).

Best regards,

Peter
