What is the time frame that a user expires in?

When creating a user for JIRA there is a field that is titled " Expires in". However it doesn't give you a time frame as to how many days, months, or years. I might be missing something but it just seems confusing not specifying what that length of time that the number represents.

Jeremy, I think that is about days. But I never trying test this before. I'm really curious right now, but I looking at Atlassian documentation and can't find something about it.
