What is the deal with ID.ATLASSIAN.COM?

Does anyone know why some JIRA instances are going to ID.ATLASSIAN.COM and others are not?  How do we disable this?  Many of my users are confused and complaining.  Top issues reported:

  • login not working (cannot tell if user name or password is wrong)
  • password reset option does not send the email

 

If I login as admin, I can send a reset password link and it works, but I cannot do this for hundreds of users.
