What is the best way to split an existing JIRA server into multiple servers?

We have one JIRA server with about 50 projects. I want to split this into 3 servers each having a subset of the projects. There will be no overlap of project across servers.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,

What about exporting a backup of the original and restore into the 3 different "sub" instances? You can then simply delete the unwanted projects from each of those three.

I believe this is the easiest way to do that, and with that you won't actually have to reconfigure anything (user management, fields, workflows, etc).

I hope this helps! smile

Thank you for your response. I think that's what we'll do.

Thanks again,

Mike
