What is inhibiting issues from being associated with JIRA Sprint Reports?

Phil Alberg April 13, 2016

We have an Agile project in JIRA 7.1 for which we cannot generate Sprint Reports.  The sprints are conducted over a two-week period, and are started and completed OK.  But when I go to the look at Sprint Reports, there is nothing to display.  I get a warning stating "The chart cannot be shown because there are no issues".  Other Agile projects in our instance do not have this problem.  Is there a setting that is inhibiting the generation of Sprint Reports?

Changing the filter back to the original one (project = JIRATRANS ORDER BY Rank ASC) works for the Sprint Reports.  However, the backlog now shows many issues with strike-thrus.  It was these issues that we were attempting to keep out of the backlog.

OK, we figured it out.  The issues that were appearing in the backlog were all Canceled issues.  These issues were not mapped to the far right column of the board, and so were not being excluded from the backlog.  By moving Canceled into this column, the backlog is now where we want. it.

Thank you for your response.  It helped us to focus on the source of the problem.

project = JIRATRANS AND (sprint in openSprints() OR status not in (Closed, Canceled)) order by Rank ASC
