What do the issue colors mean in Rapid Board?

Sharon Conger September 25, 2012

I'm responsible for keeping track of my team's work and coordinating with the QA teams. The Rapid Board looks like a good way to get an overall snapshot of all of our work. One thing I can't figure out is what the colors next to each ticket mean. Since it's kind of a busy screen, not knowing what the colors indicate is very distracting. Also, can I change the colors at all?

Here's an example:

You viewing the board, go to Tools > Configure > Card Colour

We are on the lastest version since we are ondemand. However, it just recently appeared for us. You might see if it does equate Issue Types or Priorities - I believe the default was Issue Type

Ah, if I don't have the Card Colors tab, is that a privilege thing? I should have added that we're on Jira 4.4.3, sorry about that.

In versions before 6.0.1 when this became configurable the colors represent the issue types.
