What are the options to store specific client information on Jira?

Is there a way that the clients fill/update the information about their environment before raising tickets? like a plugin etc

Hey Ahmed,

The client info feature is included in the Capture for JIRA plugin.

Docu: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CAPTURE/Creating+Issues#CreatingIssues-ContextualinformationforissuescreatedusingCaptureforJIRA

It is a checkbox that when checked will add some client info to the issue.

Hope this helped you out!

Hey Svante,

Thank your help. I watched the tutorial video about the plugin and skimmed the guide. It is a great tool for the client to easily raise an issue.

Customer feedback is a bit worrying.

I can see that we can create our variables and share that template with clients.

  1. Can we export the info about each client to excel after they fill it? not the whole  issue just the client info.
  2. Can we make some variables/fields as mandatory to fill and others as optional?

 Cheers,
Ahmed
