What are the best practices to install JIRA on an existing Stash instance in production ?

Edouard BARTHELEMY February 16, 2014

Hi,

We have a Stash instance running on our own Windows server with the database by default and we would like to install JIRA uppon it.

Can we use the same database or do we have to install an other one ?

What are the best practices in that case ?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Regards,

The best and only option is to go with seperate database, JIRA and Stash cannot share a single database. But to clarify further, by one database I do not mean one database type, meaning JIRA and Stash can both run on MSSQL as example. Seperate database means seperate schema, you will see that our documentation covered for creating different schema on different type of database.

Hope this helps, cheers!
