Did this get resolved? If not did you try to clear cache on your browser and/or try an alternate browser?
when I am in chrome and have developer console open (F12) then everything working fine after clearing cash.
After closing console (F12) sidebar disappears again.

Seems like a cache related issue.
Could you try on a fresh browser (maybe a new install of Firefox or a standalone chrome) to check if the cache issue is on your side?
You could also open a support request with Atlassian if you can't solve it. Do you have any other user in the same situation?
