We are using Jira cloud, we need to have priority field the same field should display two different values for story and bug in same project, We dont have script runner, Help us with an option.
Hi @mohanbabu.s
It is not possible out of the box. However, with apps, there is a UI Modifications API that can limit the visibility of options. This works with some limitations for Jira Software and Jira Work Management projects.
Based on mentioned API our team has developed the Field Rules - UI Modifications for Jira app. It includes the Hide options rule, which enables you to hide specific options of fields (incl. Priority) on the Global Issue Create modal or Issue View. Moreover, you can configure preconditions based on various fields including Issue type, user groups, project roles, or individuals.
I would appreciate it if you could give it a try.
Cheers

Hi @mohanbabu.s welcome to the Atlassian Community!
This won't be possible out of the box I'm afraid.
Priority schemes in Jira Cloud are associated with a project, not with an issue type (within a single project)
One option is to create a new custom field priority, type Select List (single choice) with context for different issue types, but I assume you'll want to use the system field.
Why would you want to use different priorities for bug and story?

Hi @Dave Mathijs ,
The business case of story and bug are totally differed to avoid users from selecting the wrong one we are planning to implement different select list values for bug and story, Please help us if you have an option.
