We are looking for JQL which should "show Epics with component X AND (has children (WP) with Delivery Team Y in UEDS)"

which could be easily shown by issueFunction in epics Of but right now issuefunction in epics of is not working

I didn't fully get your question, so please bear with me if this isn't a 100% fit for you. But would something like this may work for you?

type = Epic and component = X AND issueFunction in linkedIssuesOfAll("type = Story AND "Delivery Team Y" in UEDS")
