Watching NOT receiving notification

The notification scheme is set to send notice to watchers of issues when an issue is assigned or commented, but no notification is being received. Is this due to the User Profile "Notify me" setting?

The watchers are associated with the ticket (reporter and assignee) but the reporter is not receiving any comments when posted by the assignee. The only notification turned on for comments is the watcher. Any other suggestion?

Hey Corey, if the change was done by the same user, then indeed, if the 'Notify Me' setting is disabled, he/she would not receive any notifications.

For example, let's say in my account settings, I set it to not notify me of my own changes. Then, whenever I perform any changes, I will not receive any notifications.

However, if there are other watchers in the ticket, they should still receive notifications. Is this the case here?
