Watchers not notified when comment submitted via reply to notification email

Steps to reproduce:

  • User A is a watcher of a ticket and receives an email notification of a comment.
  • User A replies to this message through their email client.
  • Comment shows up in JIRA, BUT other watchers do not receive an email notification of this comment that was created via email.


Does anyone know how to enable this functionality? Does a custom event need to be created?

Hi Travis,

I've done some tests in my instance and it worked just fine. I would recommend you to raise a support ticket for further investigations.
