Want to write Swimlane Query that excludes DONE Epics

Louise Mitchell August 19, 2019

Hi

I know there are various answers in here that almost answer this but not quite.

I have created this custom query in Swimlane>Queries :

issuetype = EPIC AND status != DONE

I assume this is now only giving me issues where the EPIC is not DONE, but the swimlanes by EPIC have disappeared, all my issues are just in one big swimlane....

Help please

L

If you use swimlanes by queries then that is what you will get. You must create a query for each individual query. Everything that does not match any of the queries will fall under “everything else” swimlane. If you want swimlanes to exhibit epics then use swimlanes by epics.

if you want epics to disappear from the board the. Change the primary board filter to exclude epics that are = Done
