View Issues based on Custom Field

I need to create a few custom fields to organize various tickets, however, I cannot find a way to easy view my issues based on these custom fields.

Ideally in the Issue Tab, I'd like to view the tickets based on these fields. Similar to how you can view tickets based on Open, Reopened, etc.

You can have this in a shared filter and use it in the Favourite Filter gadget instead. More information in using the JQL advanced searching can be found in https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Advanced+Searching#AdvancedSearching-custom
