View Issue Screen - Can I change the screen associated with the 'Assign' default button

When viewing an issue, if I click on the 'Assign' default button, I can only change the assignee and add a comment.

Is it possible to assign a different screen to this action? I'd like to add a few fields to the default screen.

I would be happy too if I could just hide the default 'Assign' button without removing the 'assign' permission from my Permissions schemes. (then I would just have to create an 'Assign' global transition and assign it to my custom screen).

I'm using Jira ondemand and can therefore not use the Issue Operations plugin.

It is still an open issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8874

You canot remove the Assign operation without remiving the permissions. The only option is to remove that permissions and use workflows and different roles in workflow conditions.
