Version not shown in project sidebar

Viktor Ahlqvist June 14, 2017

The Releases-tab in the project sidebar is not shown for most projects in my Jira. It is shown for the project that is based on Scrum Software Development, but not for the projects that is based on Project Management.

Fix versions/s is enabled for all projects, and the version page can be accessed directly with .../projects/KEY?selectedItem=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin%3Arelease-page&status=unreleased.

Any suggestions on how I can add it?

Do you have any versions set up?

Yes, I have added versions and connected issues to them.

Sorry, the coffee is weak today.

I forgot.  Annoyingly, project management type projects do not get the release reports and options that Software projects get.

Try changing the project type.

Changing project type to Software did indeed add the Releases tab in the menu.

Confusing, since the version page could be directly added on Business projects.

Thank you.
