Valid status of another issue before allowing transition

We have a custom field called "Issues fixed in deployment" and I want to check if the status of each of these issues is "Verified" before it allows a transition. Can you please show me how to do this via a Groovy script?

I didn't get your question... Should the value of the custom field be "Verified" before a transition should be allowed? Or should the status be "Verified" before the transition is allowed?

I believe the requirement is the same as yours to be configure in groovy script runner
