Using Project Import tool to restore a project, we get the message "The path to the JIRA backup XML file is not valid"

We are attempting to restore an individual project using Project Import tool and get the message "The path to the JIRA backup XML file is not valid". What would cause this? We have tried:

Full path to the file (/opt/tomcat/jira/jira-data/export/2013-Aug-12--0102.zip)

Relative path to TOMCAT_HOME in TOMCAT_HOME in /tmp

Extracted as XML files

Any help from the Jira geniuses will be appreciated!

Hi there,

Instead of placing it on export folder, try placing it on your import folder and only place the file name:

/opt/tomcat/jira/jira-data/import

Copy you file to the above directory and on the import page, only input the file name will do:

2013-Aug-12--0102.zip

Hope this helps :) Cheers
