I have a scenario where I need to put tasks into releases before releasing them, potentially having a few releases planned, if nothing else some tickets are in scheduling, others testing, and others in development. While I use the classic version to do this, I am concerned that no future support or development will go on here. On top of that I have not found a way to plan releases in any of the other views.
Not sure if this helps but if you use "Sprints" as releases in the new JIRA Agile instead of Classic there is a setting under the JIRA Agile in the Add-Ons section in administration called "JIRA Agile Labs" that allows "Parellel Sprints" This allows you to add issues to multiple sprints at once.
Thanks, I will look into that to see if we can make it work how we are hoping to.

Sorry if was not clear, I was under the impression I was asking the question to a greenhopper board.
