Users personal data - GDPR - Reporting user personal data for your apps

ayush.kholiya June 9, 2021

Hello,

We are implementing a Jira Connect App. For that, we persist in following info on our site.

  • The Jira user's account id.
  • URL of the issue created by the Jira user
  • Issue Key

Is any of these fields counted as the user's personal data?

Do we need to report the data we use according to this documentation?

Hi @ayush.kholiya

I believe collecting the URL of the instance can be considered personal data(if I'm not mistaken). However, if you're taking personally identifiable data then you have to provide a means whereby the user can be informed that you're collecting that data or provide a means where they can have it destroyed/removed from your systems.
