I'm working on a tool using rest api. It works well when I'm using my account and API token. But when another user with the same rights as me try to use the tool (with his account and API token), he receives a "Field 'reporter' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown.".
This error message doesn't make sense to me : the field is set on every screen and it can't be unknown as it is a system field.
I don't know what is happening and what can I check to understand and fix the problem.
It could be that the user doesn't have the particular permission needed to perform the operation. You should detail the steps you took for yourself and attempt to perform the same with that user and see where there's a disconnect. That's how you figure out what could be the likely problem. Definitely worth examining your permissions again and confirming that you have a one-to-one mapping between you and this other user.
