User picker field - display user image

Business Need - Assignee and reporter are not enough for reporting and swimlanes.

Solution - I've created 3 user picker fields, Test Owner, PM Owner, R&D owner...

Problem: In jira issue vue/edit I don't get the image near the user name. I'd probably need to customize the template..

Any ideas, what's the simplest and maintenance easy way to do this ? (especially in order to not have to recopy these changes each time I upgrade jira=)
