User picker create issue

Sir Be April 21, 2014

Hello,

An user can create an issue.

There he has to fill in the reporter (user has a permission to change it, default=yourself) and a custom field user picker (called Manager).

Problem is the user can't click on the user picker icon, so he can't choose from the list.

He can type in the name, but doesn't have the list.

When the issue is created, the user can edit it.

In the edit option, the user picker works perfectly.

And also in all further actions.

Working in JIRA 4.2 standalone.

Regards,

Sir Be aka Bert.

Hi,

Have you checked if the user has been granted with "Browse User" permission? For your reference, please see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Project+Permissions

Just a reminder, JIRA version 4.2 has reached it's EOL, we would suggest that you contact Atlassian Support to help you perform the upgrade to the latest version.

Cheers,

Monique

I think that's ok (atm home, so can't check it).

The user can use the user picker perfectly fine, after the issue is created.

I'm not the admin, so I can't decide to upgrade.

But shall discuss it.

Thanks.

It was the permission.

Strange that there's a difference between it when creating and editting (custom, workflow edit, not the default edit) an issue.

Can i limit the number/group of users they can see?
