Hi, I have a question regarding different approaches for signing into jira.
For our JIRA site, we would like to grant access to two different user groups:
1) Our employees,
2) Our customers
For our employees, we would like to use Google Active Directory for signing in. But, our customers are not part of our google AD, and so we will have to use a different logon approach for our customers.
How can we solve this? Is it possible to use Google AD for some users, and to create new users for those who are not a part of our Google AD?
You can use a different user directory for your customers. See more details here https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/configuring-user-directories-229838525.html
Then you can put the Google AD to be with higher priority so JIRA will first try to authenticate against it and then if the auth fails it will try the next user directory. It is recommended that you do not have dublicate user names between the configured user directories, so have that in mind when you're configuring this.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
