User account for dashboard on public monitor?

Mark Davoren June 24, 2015

Hi,

We use cloud Jira. We have a couple of big screens mounted on the wall that show dashboards of the current sprints. We don't want people outside the company from accessing the info, but we don't like someone having to use their personal account to log into JIRA to display the dashboard since it would have too high privileges. It seems that Atlassian has deliberately disallowed creating a second, read only, account with the same email address as an existing user. Creating a new email address in the company domain is a pain.

What do you suggest we use to log in and display the dashboards?

Thanks.

Use a bogus email address, I don't think it has to be valid to be used to register a user. Or get an email alias created for an existing email account?

Oh OK. I was thinking I would need to click on a validation email. I just went ahead with a bogus email and it seems to work. Thanks!
