Is it possible to allow customers to view / search the customer portal without an account? It looks like Service Desk is nearing the requirements we need to use it, except our we want our customers to be able to at the very least search the customer portal/knowledgebase anonymously. Ideally I would like for them to create tickets iwthout one as well, but that's not a requirement.
As well, is there any plans to implement the knowledgebase search in the issue collector? Ie before they submit a ticket, it searches the knowledgebase in the issue collector?
Thanks!
Hi Travis,
In order for customers to be able to create and search tickets on Customer Portal they must have an account on it. You can set your Portal to have public sign-up, this way all users will be able to create their own account (without the need of been invited). But please be aware that they will only be able to search for tickets that they're the owner or participant.
Regarding the knowledge base question, this is still a feature to be developed. See: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-1912
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers!
