Upgrading to version 7 from 6, need to clear plugin cache, how do i do that?

How do I clear the plugin cache as I am upgrading from version 6 to 7. Also are there any other items/folders that can be purged during this upgrade. Please advise.

In your $JIRA_HOME, there's plugin folder with the .bundled-plugins and .osgi-plugins which is the plugin cache which you can delete.
