Upgrading JIRA from old versions to latest versions

Sami December 25, 2018

HI there,

Merry Christmas!! My Dear Friends.

I have the following situation right now for one of our client. Client is using the following Atlassian instances

  • JIRA Software - 7.2.5
  • JIRA Service Desk - 3.4.1
  • Confluence - 6.0.1
  • BitBucket - 4.11.1

We would like to upgrade the instances to the latest versions as follows

  • JIRA Software - 7.13
  • JIRA Service Desk - 3.16
  • Confluence - 6.6.11
  • BitBucket - 5.15.1

What is the best way to upgrade from very old versions to the latest versions? Do we have to upgrade the instances to specific versions first (like upgrade to 7.10 first then upgrade to latest version etc) or we can directly upgrade to latest versions?

Please help me out for upgrading the instances.

Note:

All the instances have lots of data.
