Upgrading JIRA Software to 7.1.9: JIRA became very slow

A August 13, 2016

Hi Everyone,

We have our JIRA software upgraded from 7.0.10 to 7.1.9.

After the upgrade, JIRA became very slow, even to the extent of encountering proxy error when opening any link, tab, project, administration tab (like user management).

Our JIRA was previously running well at 7.0.10.

I did re-index (lock and re-index, and background re-index), and the result was still the same.

I even tried removing the plug-ins, restart, and re-install the plug-ins, then re-index. Still, JIRA was very slow.

Please help, any suggestions what else to do?

Note: Confluence was also upgraded and is running well.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you allocate enough memory to the new JIRA, sometimes in the startup script the default memory (RAM) value is used which is very less.
