Upgrade to Jira Software, AND switch to Cloud

We are looking to upgrade our current JIRA + JIRA Agile to JIRA Software.  At the same time we are considering moving our installation to the cloud.  I'm unable to see any documentation for this path; could somebody push me towards any documentation on this?  Would this be a completely new purchase, separate from my existing server purchase?

Secondly, I've been seeing lots of posts regarding performance issues with JIRA OnDemand.  Has there been any feedback yet on the performance of JIRA Software in the cloud?

You would need to purchase a JIRA Cloud subscription for the number of users you have. This is a monthly fee

We currently use JIRA Cloud (OnDemand) ourselves and have not had too many issues regarding performance.

Thanks, Jared. I'd seen that article about migrating to the cloud, but what has me concerned is that on the breadcrumb link on the top of the page it says "Pre Jira7" knowledge base, which makes me think that it wouldn't be what I want since I'm looking to upgrade to Jira 7.
