Upgrade JIRA 4.4 to the latest 6.4

We are planning to upgrade our existing JIRA 4.4 to the lastest version.

I would like to check the following if there are any:

• Compatibility issue if there are any.
• Pre-requisites
• Costs for the upgrade

Additional info for the existing server:

OS: Win 2003 R2 (SP2)
Processor: E5506 2.13Ghz
Memory: 3GB
IE: ver 8
DB: MS SQL server 2005
.NET 2.0 (SP2)
.NET 3.0 (SP2)
.NET 3.5 SP1
JIRA v4.4.4#664-r167664

Hi Harry,

If you have an active license there are no licensing costs associated with an upgrade.

If you don't have an active license you'll need to buy a renewal or a new license.

AFAIK there aren't any problems that I'm aware of, except that IE 8.0 is no longer supported by Atlassian (or Microsoft).

Is it possible to upgrade JIRA from version 4.4.4 to 6.4 directly? Is the procedure the standard or do I have to do something different?
