Update Issue Custom Field

I am trying to update a custom URL field on a transition using the Update Issue Custom Field post function.

I want to insert the project key into the URL as we have a complimenting Confluence site for each project using the workflow using the same key for the space key.

I have tried...

https://company.confluence.com/display/%%project_key%%/Project+Charter

https://company.confluence.com/display/%project_key%/Project+Charter

https://company.confluence.com/display/%project%/Project+Charter

https://company.confluence.com/display/%project.id%/Project+Charter

Is there any way that anyone knows of to substitute a system variable in this post function?

Hi Andrew,

The project.id should work. JIRA also accepts the variabe project.key, worth a try. wink

You can see more details on page below:

Hope it helps.

Cheers

When I put it in %project.id% it just shows that in the URL When I put it in {project.id} I get an illegal operation error message when I try to do the transition. When I pu it in as project.id I just get that in the URL. Nothing seems to work in the Update Issue Custom Field to translate the value of the variable... i am going to do it when I auto create the issue with Bob swifts create on transition instead. It's a little early in the process but it works. Still would like to know if there is a solution out there..
