Universal Pluging Manager required internet URL's to access

Brian Mills May 9, 2012

I am running JIRA and Green Hopper on a corporate network that normally doesnt allow internet access.

I've managed to get approval for JIRA to have internet access (specifically to make managing plugins via UPM easier.

However I need to specify the URL's that it needs to have access to.

What URL's does UPM in JIRA use to talk back to JIRA?

At least https://plugins.atlassian.com for sure. It is a pull operation, so your site talks to the plugins site.

https://plugins.atlassian.com should be the only site for which access is required. Do you need exact path names, or is the host name sufficient?

Alternatively, you can disable the online connectivity of the UPM by starting JIRA with the system property upm.pac.disable set to true.
