Unable to remove inactive user from People tab.

I have user who has now left the organisation and jira tries to send email as he is staffed on the project and then later send delivery failure notification.

Our JIRA instance is linked up with our AD.

This user doesnt exist in AD too. when i try to remove this user it gives the error attached in the screen shot and doesnt get remove. could you please help me on this issue.

You may try to workaround that by creating a user named "rd7333" in the internal JIRA user directory and then delete that user. This should remove the user from all roles, etc...

The caveat here is that if there is a historical data for this user in issues it may be messed up after doing what I've suggested, but JIRA should warn you about that upon delete.
