Unable to login

sandeep billakanti July 26, 2015

I have integrated JIRA with Crowd.

  • Created a Crowd Ad and added groups and users to that.
  • Added the JIra to the applications of AD

Users are unable to login to JIRA. What could be the issue.

Hi Sandeep,

Can you check if you setup the groups to allow JIRA authenticate against Crowd? On this link you can get more details: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CROWD/Specifying+which+Groups+can+access+an+Application

Also, can you check if your license limit wasn't reached?

Lastly, some logs from Crowd or JIRA would be useful here smile.

The link isn't working for some reason.  Check the Crowd and JIRA logs for errors.

Yup. It's not configured correctly. JIRA can't find the users in Crowd. There could be several things here. The first thing to do would be ignore AD for a while - create a test user in Crowd's internal directory, add it to jira-users, make sure the user and group are active for the JIRA application and then log in with that. If that works, you know it's your AD connection. If it doesn't, then the list of things I've just said are where you need to debug the setup.
